Dosing

 Clark’s Rule for Paediatric Dosing

If your don’t know how much of a herb or supplement to give to a child, your Naturopathic Doctor may use Clark's rule.

Clark’s Rule is a medical term referring to a mathematical formula used to calculate the proper dosage of medicine for children aged 2–17.

What’s required:

  1. Adult dose in whatever units (mg, sprays, ounces — you can use any kind of unit as the child’s dose will just be a fraction of this.

  2. Child’s weight in POUNDS.
